Apple today held their annual September special event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, where they announced a new 10.2-inch iPad, Apple Watch Series 5, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
10.2-inch iPad: replacing the old 9.7-inch 6th-generation iPad, the 7th-generation iPad features an all-new 10.2-inch display. It has the same A10 Fusion chip as the last generation, but adds Smart Keyboard support thanks to the new Smart Connector. It continues to support the 1st-generation Apple Pencil and starts at the same US$329. You can order it today, and it will be available on September 30.
Apple Watch Series 5: the new Series 5 looks the same as the Series 4 but features an always-on display and built-in compass. Apple has also added titanium and ceramic case options as part of the Apple Watch Edition lineup, which has made a comeback. The GPS model is priced at $399 while the cellular model is price at $499. You can order the Series 5 today, and they will be available on September 20.
iPhone 11: a continuation of last year's iPhone XR, the new iPhone 11 features an addition ultra wide camera, with the faster A13 Bionic chip, as well as even longer battery life. It's available in 6 colors: Black, White, Yellow, Green, Purple and Product(RED). The iPhone 11 is priced at $699, a reduction from the XR's $749. You can order it on September 13 and it will be available on September 20.
iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max: this year's high end iPhones come in all-new matte finishes on the back, and is available in four colors: Midnight Green, Space Gray, Silver, and Gold. The 11 Pro and Pro Max features a triple-lens camera system, including a wide angle lens, a telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide lens; all three are 12MP shooters. It also has a new, brighter and more contrasty screen which Apple calls "Super Retina XDR". They are priced at $999 and $1099 respectively, and can be pre-ordered on September 13, with general availability on September 20.
Apple also announced the prices for their two services: Apple Arcade and Apple TV+, both priced at $4.99 a month with Family Sharing. Apple Arcade has a 1-month free trial, while Apple TV+ offers a 7 day trial. When you buy a iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or Apple TV, you are given a free 1-year subscription to Apple TV+.
The iconic 5th Avenue Apple Store will also be reopened on September 20.
